Instead of starting new threads with every new member introducing themselves, I have made a thread for everybody to use. Please post about yourself and your craft(s) in this thread.
I would ask the members that were on the old forum to please post again in this thread.

Hi - I'm Mary - Omi Silver, Ghent, NY -around 2 hours north of NY City. I enjoy chainmaille, viking knit, crocheting with wire, wire wrapping and most forms of jewelry making. I have finally gotten my jewelry in 3 area gift shops. I will be in Bead Style in the January 2012 issue with a parallel weave earring design. That's my MOST exciting new success! YIPEE

Yay! I always love hearing about maillers getting into magazines. It's becoming more and more common. We will soon take over the world! *maniacal laughter ensues*

Barb from Barbsdesigns, Hi! live near Austin, Texas where I am a Paramedic and motorcycle medic. Love many different crafts. Stained glass, airbrush, pinstripping, to name a few other than chainmaille and jewelry. No cool news. I hope to retire soon and have more time for all my crafts and for Husband, 3 kids, and a grandbaby!

Hello. I'm Martha from Art Wire. Just joined recently and am trying to find my way around the forum. I've just been creating chainmaille for a little over a month and am already obsessed with it to the exclusion of any other type of jewelry. Currently working on a Helm and Byzantine necklace in copper as I can't afford sterling silver right now, which is my preferred metal. I need to branch out and experiment with different metals though. Looking forward to getting to know everyone here.

Hello, Sherry L Shaner here from SLS Creations. New to the guild and the forum, but did my first chainmail over ten years ago. Started big with a shirt and coif, then moved on to jewelry. Things seem to keep getting smaller and smaller, just completed my first piece using jump rings and 11/0 seed beads. I have enjoyed reading about the other members. Thanks for letting me be a part of the guild.
