Due to personal issues, I will be stepping down as the guild master. I simply don't have the time to give the guild the attention it needs. This is a great community and I would hate to see it disappear for lack of a guild master. Any volunteers for the position would be greatly appreciated. Contact me here on Artfire or by email if you are interested.
This is the same thing y'all got from me in your Artfire inbox, just putting it here to be good and redundant.

I might be able to. My concern is the small amount of activity of the guild. Is there enough interest?

I am new here. I intend to participate in this guild, as long as it continues. Which I hope it does :-)

I might be able to. My concern is the small amount of activity of the guild. Is there enough interest? That's the main thing. I don't have the time to dedicate to promoting the guild and getting more activity going. Being an online guild with members spread to hither and yon makes it hard to do much more than the challenges. I've had ideas, but there hasn't been a lot of activity so I haven't posted them. I guess now is as good a time as any... 1. I would love to have officers or co-guildmasters (if that's possible, I would have to ask). Members that could put a little time in on Twitter, Facebook, the blog, even Pinterest since it's become so popular. Those members would be moderators on the forum and made admins on the Facebook page. Honestly, just this would help immensely. 2. Because our membership is so low, I haven't even been worried about upholding the guild requirements. I know some people like to be members of guilds and stay in the background with the little icon on their shop page, but maybe if we could promote the guild and its members more the activity would pick up. 3. Promotion has been one of the main issues. I can't promote the guild all on my own. There are enough members that it makes member promotion difficult, as well. Some kind of promotion schedule would be nice - with emphasis on the more active members. I don't see why we should put effort into promoting the members that don't contribute to the guild in some way, large or small. Whether it's guest posts written by the members, links on Twitter and Facebook, pinning the items in their shop, or anything. It's difficult for one person alone to promote the guild and its members. *sigh* I actually won't step down until there is someone who is sure they want to take it on. I like being part of the guild even if I've been part of the lack of activity problem and I want to see it survive. I just don't have the time for all of it.

Even just doing some promotion will help, Barb. If you know your way around Facebook or Twitter or blogger, I can set you up on one of them. Just let me know if you want to take on any of them.
