I was, at one time, optimistic we could get this guild active again. I understand how busy everyone is and the time it takes to be active here. I don't mind putting the time in for everyone, I have some extra cause I am retired. I really want to thank the couple of people that have continued to participate! I do get a lot of hits from all the sites connected with AFCMG and would hope everyone else does too. I love this group but am wondering if it is futile to continue. How long does one work on this before deciding it is a "gonner" and to far gone to repair. I would love your input. What else can we do? What would you like to see here? I would love to hear your ideas!

There is no easy answer to your query. In my experience, trying to organise crafters/artisans is akin to herding cats... (I used to run a group on Etsy) There is only so much time for crafting, and social media participation in closed circle such as a guild might not be a top priority for most of them. Add to that that most crafters I know take a hiatus once in while (for tons of different reasons), and, I understand that participation might not be to the level you would want.
I think the challenges are a nice idea. Some constraint can sometime spark creativity more than an amply supply cache of rings.
While I like collections, I personnally prefer to be in a non-chainmaille only collection. It is nice to be appreciated by your peers, but I believe that from a sale point of view, I prefer to advertise a collection that features my piece among different techniques.
